As the owner and provider at Sunflower Family Medicine, Jessica V. Rodriguez brings with her over 15 years of dedicated medical experience.
Raised in Cutler Bay, she is a proud member of this community and loves to serve it. She attended Centennial Middle School, graduated from Southridge Senior High School, and later served overseas in the military. When she returned, she moved right back to where her heart was: Cutler Bay!
Her medical journey began with LPN classes in high school, continued as a Navy Hospital Corpsman, and culminated in a Master of Science degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain College of Nursing. With a diverse background in research, oncology, surgery, and intensive care, she provides compassionate, kind, and understanding care for patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric.
I think the most important part of serving this community is looking at my patients in their entirety. They need care from their heads to their toes and everything in between. Physical and mental health are important aspects of my care. I like to combine my medical training to learn about the whole patient and their medical issues. I like to explain the rationale behind my decision-making and collaborate with my patients to find the best treatment option(s) for them and their lifestyle.
